This Velo Dog pistol has been in my family for 70 years! My dad picked it up in Germany during WWII. It fires. I shoot it when ever I go to Swan Creek to shoot my revolvers and rifles. It is for an antique collector, maybe 100 years old. I've NEVER seen one with the
gold plate on the Safety/Fire. It also has a fold up trigger.

(Massachusetts) Ballister Molina - Offer
The Ballester-Molina is a pistol designed and built by the Argentine company Hispano Argentina Fábrica de Automotores SA (HAFDASA). Between 1938 and 1940, it bore the name Ballester-Rigaud. The Ballester was designed to offer the Argentine police and military a less-expensive alternative to the Sistema Colt Modelo 1927, which was itself a licensed copy of the Colt M1911A1 and built under the supervision of Colt engineers. Production of the Ballester-Molina began in 1938 and ceased in 1953. Ironically, the Sistema Colt 1927 was manufactured until 1966.[1]
The history of the company dates back to 1929, when two Spaniard entrepreneurs, Arturo Ballester and Eugenio Molina, established a branch of the Spanish Hispano-Suiza in Buenos Aires. Years later, HAFDASA hired two engineers, Frenchman Rorice Rigaud and Carlos Ballester-Molina, a relative of the founders. Rigaud became the chief designer of the firm, while Ballester-Molina was appointed chief executive officer.
There is lots of other info out there on these fine firearms, just do a bit of research. The S/N of my gun dates to between 1938-1942, all parts have matching s/n's, frame, slide & barrel. Colt is selected only because HFASADA isn't an option.

This is one of those rare weapons that if you have to ask why it cost what it does you probably should move on. The upper is a monolithic design with a quick change barrel system and is piston driven. The whole piston assembly removes from the front making it easier to maintain than other designs. This is a full factory rifle with box, papers, torque wrench and two mags. It has additional goodies such as a BCM Gunfighter charging handle, VTAC front QD sling mount, Troy BAD lever, Troy rear QD sling mount and magwell grip. 60 rounds down the tube including zeroing the optic, it's a Vortex Spark II. i will be willing to meet face to face to sell this Rifle and i can also ship to a licensed FFL holder Buyer pays all transfer fees.
