The Swiss at some point realized that its support troops, cavalry, and certain other units required a shorter rifle then what was currently available and so designed the Model 1911 Carbine. The Swiss 1911 Carbine being smaller, lighter and still lethally accurate, became a favorite of the Swiss Army and its popularity contributed to the design of its successor, the K31. These are the last variation with the flatter mag plate which bench shooters tend to perfer, as well as the grooved Schmidt Rubin design bolt, and bakelite charging handle. 7.5x55 caliber, Straight Pull. Has a few scratches on the blued barrel but only cosmetic, she shoots like a dream, highly accurate, a real tack driver if you will. Has the smoothest working bolt of any rifle ive ever shot. Comes with one five round magazine, 167 rounds of Hornady 17 grain V-Max and 100 rounds of Winchester 17 grain Varmint HV. No trades please.

Selling my very nice genuine Colt 1851 Navy. Serial # 63xxx, which makes it an 1857 vintage. All original with matching numbers EXCEPT the cylinder. Has new cylinder with new nipples (appears to be from a 1970’s reproduction). Boys, this is a shooter! Cylinder end play is about .008”. Lock up is tight, timing is correct. Hammer has both notches, with no push-off. Barrel has minor black powder corrosion, but lands and grooves are distinct with sharp edges. Nice plum patina, and great grips. This gun hasn’t been molested- no buffing, no varnish. Says "Address Sam L Colt New York City" on the roll stamp. Take a look at the pictures, and ask any questions you have. I'm asking $2500.00 or best offer. Might consider some trades. Will meet in Indiana.
