SKS Vietnam war trophy with DD 603 saigon airbase matching serial numbers
May 1969 comes with serial number matching document and NV Vietnam flag
I had this up last week but deal fell through
3 pictures. One shows the serial number and makers mark of the gun . It was made in 1966 which is consistent with the package. The makers mark is that of the factory that made weapons for communist use and not exported the highest of quality was kept for their own armies and these were the guns that were used against US forces. There is no export markings on the gun like century arms or any of the other US companies that bring in foreign arms and sell them to the US. So if you had a "war trophy" and it had that sort of stamping you would know you had a fake. The next picture is a Nam flag that was brought back with the gun The third is the dd603 document showing where the GI was stationed and got the weapon. You will notice the DD603 says it’s a chicom type 56 so the triangle with the 26 stamped inside is a Chinese communist type 56 in the 9 million range indicating 1965-66 the same date as the flag the GI came home in May of 69 he was inducted in 1966 Here is a link to the famous SKS factory 26 http://www.yooperj.com/SKS-32.htm showing when this was made.
So there you have it one of the finest SKS Nam bring Back I have ever had the pleasure of owning.
