The upper has mutiple blemishes over it as well as a slight snafu with the delta ring and barrel nut. Please prepare for long read as I explain it in hopes that you can comprehend this is more of an annoyance that an actual mechanical problem.
I had the DD barrel on another upper. That upper took damage so I replaced it with another Bravo Blemed upper and new barrel nut. Well, If you have ever worked on ARs before you realize there is that slim chance that you might run across when working with standard USGI barrel nuts and receivers that due to tolerance stacking, there is that slight chance that a particular barrel nut will just not index within spec on that certain receiver. This is the first time I have came across this but it actually happend to me. The barrel nut indexed just slightly at 30 ftlbs. I prefer a torque a little higher than bare minimum. Unfortunately, I went to about 70 ftlbs and the tooth on the next notch was still in the way. Normally the correct route to go is try a new barrel nut. I did not have an extra on hand and wanted to go ahead and finish completing the upper so what I did was file down that tooth on the next notch to make it work. It is torqued down at around 40 ftlbs and incase you were wondering, everthing was properly greased down with Aeroshell 33ms. Now, onto the part about the delta ring. As you know the delta ring can still move side to side a bit when installed. Now since I removed that tooth on the barrel nut, when the delta ring moves side to side, the gas tube moves with it due to it not being in the valley of two teeth to stop movement. When everything is set in place and when the delta ring is firmly on the handguard, no movement takes place and the gas tube does not move. The gas tube only moves when the delta ring is loosend from the hand guards and moved side to side. Unfortunatly, me doing this has also caused the handguards to be SLIGHTLY tilted when set in place. Imagine looking over the top of the upper, the slots on the top of the handguards doesnt run monolithically to the picatinny on the upper reiceiver, just slightly to the left of it. It is purely a cosmetic issue.
Now while there is nothing but GTG parts in this upper, the fact it is blemished and of course the bigger factor for some would be the barrel nut/delta ring snafu, I do not expect anyone other than an AR guy/gal to understand this and shoot me a cash/trade offer. If anything, I have this listing up as a curiouisity, as I know it would take someone who understand the platform to want to buy it.
If anyting the slight issue above can be fixed with a new barrel nut, delta ring assembly and crush washer(you are supposed to replace evertime you re-install flash hider). I just do not want to sink any more money into this upper since I am trying to save up for a new build anyways.
In total, all parts individually bought value at around $760(plus shipping). I do not expect to sell for for that price. But I will listen to any reasonable offer sent to me. I will meet face to face in Prattville/Montgomery.

Rock River Arms Varmint upper. A4 Upper, 20" barrel, bead blasted so no glare, free float handguard, 1:8 twist, railed front gas block, chrome lined barrel, target crowned muzzle. Only 20 rounds through the barrel to sight it in. Doesn't have a charging handle, but does include RRA bolt carrier assembly. Extremely accurate, clover leafs at 100 yards.
