This is a 1 of a kind highly customized rifle with Heavy Target Barrel and 6 clips.
These were imported in the 80s by Mitchell, known as the Armi Jager AP74. This rifle is part of a limited production in the 80s of 6 rifles, made as perfect copy of an AR-15 / M16 rifle made for the Florida Air Academy ROTC.
Unlike any of the current Colt or HK 22 copies, this breaks down like the AR15, the bolt and charging handle are exact. The function including the bolt latch work just like the Colt Ar15 / M16. This is an absolutely exact copy in form and in function! Also in weight, so the best training rifle money can buy.
This was the prototype and went straight into my gun safe. It has been hand made to be an exact copy in both field stripping, weight, and firing of the military issue rifle for the cadets. It has 6 20 round clips that currently sell for $75 each and are hard to find. (I would accept a lower offer with less clips as sell the clips will sell by themselves at $50 each all day long, if you wanted to make an offer with 2 or 3 clips and sell the rifle cheaper this is an option, but this is a decision best left to the buyer)
It has a military scope adapter and military issue at the time target scope. You can still use the iron sights. Have never seen other then these 6 any made like this. This is not the original barrel, this is a custom made heavy target barrel that fits the actual military stocks, the back plate also is not the original and a true AR15. This has taken already the most accurate .22 copy of an AR15 / M16 ever made and turned it into a perfect training rifle for the cadets. The HK and S&W .22 copies now made have insides that look nothing like an AR15 / M16 and do not function like it. They are just disguised blow backs. This is the most accurate .22 AR15 / M16 training rifle with the modifications that has ever been created. It is also as it is so well made amazingly accurate. When the last round is fired the bolt locks back, place a new clip in the rifle and the bolt release catch drops the bolt. It functions and looks like the Ar16/M16 rifle. It is an exact clone of the .223 in .22lr. It is also a one of a kind tribute to the gun smith who made these at the time. This comes with the 6 clips and is truly a rare collectible.
The ban is coming so you should get this while you can. Will make someone an amazing Christmas gift and is a great training rifle for a son or grandson and saves a fortune from training on .223 ammo. Questions? Please ask before you bid.
