A custom rifle manufactured by the famous Houston rifle maker George Vais. George is a very gifted inventor and the originator of the famous Vais muzzle brake. This beautiful rifle features the famous K98 Mauser action stamped WAFFENFABRIK STEYR AUSTRIA. The claro walnut stock is stunning with the wood to metal fit and finish exactly what you would expect to find on a Vais Arms custom rifle. The rifle sports a 23.5” bbl with a mirror bore, barrel band, three position safety, Leupold one piece base and Decelerator recoil pad. The rifle is used but in excellent condition with just the faintest of handling marks in the wood and a small rub on the bolt. The bluing and the metal finish are superb. They don't import these anymore. These are raved by their owners and many don't let them go as they are very hard to find. They basically are an Interarms Mark X that were imported by Charles Daly after Interarms went bust. These have basically a mini Mauser 98 action. The quality is superb on these. It is factory scope pre drilled. Rich blueing and Very nice walnut checkered stock with a durable poly finish. Gold trigger and it is the upgraded model with a gold trigger. "Some were sold with lower grade stocks or plastic stocks.
It looks as if whoever had it before virtually never used it, I never shot it myself. Just very little shelf/safe wear. This is the highest desired caliber for these as it's the perfect varmint tac driver round that can reach out to distance.
Cash only and the first reasonable offer close to my asking price will take this beauty.
